2006 Congress
In 2006, QLF hosted its first Alumni Congress in Budapest, Hungary. This interregional meeting brought together environmental practitioners from around the world, catalyzed new projects in conservation and stewardship, and influenced QLF’s development over the next decade, inspiring the formalization of the Global Leadership Network (GLN).
2016 Congress
Ten years after QLF’s first Congress, it convened our Alumni and partners in Barcelona, Catalonia to network, celebrate their (and QLF’s) accomplishments, form new partnerships, and initiate new QLF and GLN initiatives in Barcelona, Catalonia.
The exchanges typically feature study tours, site visits, meetings with local practitioners, and ample opportunities for ongoing discussions and knowledge sharing.
In 2006, 55 years after its founding, QLF hosted its First Alumni Congress in Budapest, Hungary. The first Congress assembled 170 QLF Alumni and partners representing 30 countries. The Congress provided an opportunity for the QLF family to collectively reflect on its first 55 years, plan for the organization’s next half century, and catalyze new, international conservation and stewardship partnerships and initiatives.
Ten years after The First QLF Alumni Congress was held in Budapest, Hungary, QLF Alumni from around the world gathered again. In November 2016, organizations and practitioners tied to QLF reconvened to share knowledge, experiences, and best practices while helping to set QLF’s global agenda for the next decade.
